A Saudi scholar said he’s decided to drop the anti-Dubai ban Fatwa he had issued earlier this week
PHEWW THANK GOD!

Mr. Sheikh Moe Al-Lunatic said that after much discussion, contemplation, and reconsideration he’s decided to LIFT THE BAN!
One word, Ridiculous!

...I was not a regular, but many of the customers knew each other. Girls and Arabic men would exchange big hellos, kisses and full body hugs..men had the wealthy, well-groomed look of pressed jeans, leather shoes and gaudy gold. I guess their wives were all at home sleeping and ..... The women circulated and chatted, occasionally a couple would drift off and leave.

The “No Arabic Style Clothing” rule still intrigued me.

There are a few fatwas I'd like to issue.

Where do I go to do that please?

@ doom007 , Can’t u see that, exactly it is! They r using male kids for prostitution, it’s clearly child abuse; unfortunately some society welcomes it as a tradition or what so ever!

There is a difference. Fatwas are issued by individuals and it is up to the populace to decide whether they adopt them or not.

yes, he should not have issued the fatwa. However, he did retract it.

Shame on you Sheikh ! y you blindly gave fatwa without taking in consideration its repercussions, that you have to shamefully take it back ! You have insulted the process of Fatwa and you must not throw your rockets like that!

Secondly, as an expat, I lived in Dubai for 4 years, I never ever visited a bar and I till this point don't know where is bar and where to get alcohol etc.. its the inner self of a person, not the place or city which controls the person ! have deep faith, no one can affect/change you a bit !

I love Dubai, and its a worth visiting city.. and people who have not been there, give it a try !!

Thanks for the brief suli, this rules were really ridicules, how can they stop a personal from sin, thank god, the cleric woke up at last!

Brit as I assume you understand that fatwas are essentially religious ruling / decisions

Just like a civil judge in the court of law, the religious leader plays the judge and his decisions “Rulings mainly on religious issues” in the religious Jurisprudence “Fiqgh” equals, a court decision.

Such a stupid fatwas by a mindless idiot like this guy, calls for the questioning of this so called scholars' sanity .....

By cherukkan• 20 Jun 2013 09:24

MN, Where is the source? Is that Al Arabia news? That guy is crazy to give fatwas like that without thinking up and down. He was unknown to the world and now he is (in)famous.

1. How dumb can the lady be that she is asking for permission to go to Dubai?

That is something none of our business, Rules of Saudi and following your country rules will not make you dumb( As long as they are satisfied)

2. Travelling is a sin?

Traveling is not a sin, People whom do sins, wherever they Go.

3. Does that mean all who live in Dubai are sinners and living in Immorality? :O

Now it is over, and i don't think we should follow every fatwa,m cause at the End the Shiekh is a Human and he might do a mistake.

By relocated• 20 Jun 2013 08:44

Quoted from Alarabiya online:

The rightful path must be followed, I announce the end "to a bar" on travelling to Dubai unless it's a necessity.

Unquote.

LoL. That was ridiculously hilarious.

If a person decides to get drunk, regardless of the person being in Saudi or Dubai or Qatar, they will find the source and get drunk.

Is he under the impression that alcohol is not available in Saudi? LoL !!!

Thank you Mr. Marco Nandoz!!

PS: All this coz a woman asked if she can travel to Dubai alone?

3 Questions:

1. How dumb can the lady be that she is asking for permission to go to Dubai?

2. Travelling is a sin?

3. Does that mean all who live in Dubai are sinners and living in Immorality? :O

Sounds like another one of em 15 minutes of fame seeking moves by a so called cleric. Totally disprove of giving the likes of them any attention, cos that's exactly what they want when they go about sprouting nonsensical stuff and then make a big song and dance by taking em back. And it's funny how they also assume they have what it takes to issue "fatwas" at whim. Sheeesh!

This Fatwa was Ridiculous

Seems he finally wake up and knew he was wrong,, The banning came because the Saudis were afraid that there Sons go there and get drunk ,,

BTW , If the sins was the reason for the fatwa, What is happening in some places worse than what is happening in Dubai,,

I still don't get the point. He issued an edict and than retracted it. Isn't it good that he did that ?
