preventing sand from entering home

Over the last weekend, due to heavy winds and sandstorm, most of my house got filled with fine sand.

I came to know that there is something available in the market (like a bidding or tape) which when you put at the bottom end of the doors prevents sand from entering house. Does someone know about what this is and where I can get this from?

Thanks & Will appreciate your help in this regards

Just guessing that you are probably in an apartment with a huge balcony.

You can get custom made balcony mesh and top it up with military style blinds.

This way you can get the sunshine and keep out the sand - well at least most of it :)

This may bring smile but;

the idea which i applied was:

I bought a big bath towel,

fold it,

and laid it on the floor, in such a way that it covered the tiny space between the door and floor. Hence dust (not much) didn't entered into my room. and i got saved.

Wish if i could know about such things before so that i could have avoided dust particles entering my house...I am so tired now after cleaning the house for many times in one singe day...(:

there are door brushes, which needs to be fixed with two or three screws, they will reduce the sand coming in!

But nothing will ever stop it, Unfortunately! :-(

I bought the tape in Carrefour. You can also buy it in Hyatt Plaza, it is a Japanese store located above the Home R Us.
