Kerala minister KB Ganesh Kumar files for divorce, says he was beaten by his wife

The family dispute surfaced in the open again with the film actor-turned politician alleging in his divorce petition that he was even beaten up by his wife in front of his personal staff.

Ganesh Kumar was caught in a controversy a month ago after a newspaper published a report that a state minister was beaten up by the husband of a woman with whom he had an affair.

He said that his wife had even manhandled him and was blackmailing him and regularly beating him

and it comes as no suprise that you find so many of this guys form Kerala out here possibly running away from their wives back home in fear of another beating. Even our driver Varghese returned back after ten days instead of completing his one month vaccation

This is the headlines of Malayalam TV channels and they are doing complete interviews... breaking news, reports, analysis, and even asking the Chief Minister of Kerala to resign....

This is the Politics that people like... action, drama, question & cross questioning the frivolous

Thye are showing this from 3 days.... and almost harping on this issue from 2 week... Politicians are not letting any discussion take place in Kerala Assembly unless the issue is solved...

After all this is of great National Importance...

When I say domestic abuse I include verbal, emotional and sexual abuse.

But I think people underestimate how many women are physically abusive. How many women throw things or smack their spouses when angry? Just because it doesn't really hurt the guy doesn't mean it's not physical abuse.

MM, I agree if you include verbal abuse in what you are referring to. Since most women resort to verbal abuse to pin their husbands down, it's become an accepted fact and its difficult for men to move court against such domestic voilence.

My take...since women are physically weaker, their brains have evolved to give them greater 'skills' to verbally abuse..:)

Domestic abuse by women is very common, so I don't know why you're saying "now." Good that he's come forward.

It's about time women stood up for themselves, good for them if they beat their husband. Why should men always have the upper hand!If a man cheated on his wife then she had every right to kick him in the teeth!

Wives have been spouse beaters for eons now. Blessed be the one who even imagines this to be a new "trend".

Domestic violence is no joke..trust me when I say it is truly soul scarring and harrowing, especially if the onlookers and/or victims happen to include the children of the destructively feuding couple!

However as for the case mentioned in the OP, one will have to await further evidences including the wife's defense, as to whether this story is true or false.
