SINGLE MOTHER TO APPLY VISA FOR DAUGHTER

SINGLE MOTHER TO APPLY VISA FOR DAUGHTER

By siakodaw

Hi everyone! Salam Alaykum...

I'm happy that I was able to join this forum and to experience the good intention of this website.
I would like to ask for your advice and help regarding my concern.
I'm a single mother from the Philippines. And I've been working here in Doha as a nurse for 2years now. I'm thinking of positive chances to apply for visa for my only daughter who's 5 years of age, considering my status, and my monthly salary of QR7000.
Is it possible???
Thanks...

My friend's daughter has a residence visa and is already here for almost 2 years under the mother's sponsorship.

I regret to inform you though that I cannot provide the contact details of my friend.

I suggest you try to apply and find out for yourselves dears. Better if you have a good PRO and if you work in a big and reputable company that allows you to sponsor your children. Make sure you have all the complete documentary requirements and that you meet the qualifications to be able to sponsor your children.

Best of luck and I hope you succeed. God bless:)

Hello! Thank God i found a forum like this. I'm also a single mom working here in doha. Just moved in January 2013. I plan to sponsor my 2-year old daughter soon as i can.

I was hopeful to hear that some single mother was able to sponsor her daughter. One more question, was she able to obtain a residence visa for her daughter? Or a visit visa?

Kindly share info. This will be very helpful for us.

& may we please ask the number of your friend, so we can ask her advice on how to go through the process.

Thank you!

You can try to apply to sponsor your daughter. A friend of mine is a single mother (unmarried) and was able to sponsor her daughter. Best of luck:)

I agree with you UkengQatar. Yes the issue of deportation is applicable to such case if the woman got pregnant here in Qatar out of wedlock. But mine was a long time ago and it happened in my homecountry. But I remained strong and clinged to my faith. There's more to good life than holding on to the negative past.

Then here is the Big problem Madam..

GodFather.

very sensitive issue here in the Gulf, having Kids outside of wedlock, If they deport women who fall pregnant outside of wedlock, not much chance they will accept resident visa for such kid. just my opinion, I hope I am wrong and they do grant your baby to be with you!

Yes I had my baby out of wed lock. And yes, my status when I get hired was single and up to now I remain single. And I declared my daughter's name as my legal dependent during the job application.

your case is a sensitive issue:

1. Before you get hired to your job what was in your personal data..single for sure. Therefore you dont have a child.

2. Opening this matter to your HR/ mandoob will put you in trouble....kal_el made a point.

3. Think and ask wisely to your HR/ mandoob, means you are not the subject but your friend. Then you will know their advice and opinion.

and LOL.XD, I don't think I need to get a letter from my daughter's real father because In my daughter's birth certificate no father acknowledged her. and Ive written there, father is UNKNOWN.

Walaikum Salam sister. Yes Insha'Allah you meet the minimum requirement which is 7000qr and you have already been here 2 years so it should be quite straight forward for you to apply for your daughter.

Please go to this link www.gov.qa . Click on "apply for family visa" it will tell you all the criteria and explain the procedure. You may also download the application form from that site.

All the best.
