I asked this question to several people as I was visiting Qatar for 2 weeks at a time on a regular basis and the hotels were costing me a fortune.

And them I chanced upon this ad and visited the villa.

It's well located off TV Roundabout and it is run by a German woman who is very nice.
The rooms are huge and though simple, everything is there from free WIFi to satellite TV. Kitchen is free to use and there is even a guest fridge.
There's a small pool but I didn't have the rime to use it.
All in all, a great alternative to over-priced hotels.
