I am moving from Dubai to Doha, and wanted to know what are the best places to rent an apartment, considering a commute of not more than 30 minutes during peak hours (office timings). West bay, the Pearl areas are out of my affordability.
well yes we have dedicated covered parking, the building itself is air conditioned but they have got split ACs instead of centralized ducts. but it does not make any difference rather it is more cooler than ducts. for electricity and water bills usually they charge u 300QR which is not a very big amount. yes u can find a semi furnished 1 BR apartment in this range, but here in doha I have seen that 2 BR are easy to find as compared to 1 BR apartments, but yes u can find it if u have time. you can also have a shared villa here. then compound residence is also available. the range of rent varies according to the area u select. there are some sites u can search them, like zukhrof, homes2rent, manzilli, just type in google and u can see it urself.
Do you have any idea how much will a single bedroom apartment cost? and do you also have covered parking?
I,currently in Dubai, live in a normal size semi-furnished 1BHK apartment with gym, swimming pool, free centralized A/C and covered car parking for 4000 per month.
If u r looking for an affordable rental apartment, u can try in Matar Qadeem (old airport area) it takes around 20 to 25 minutes drive in between, i know it coz my husband works in the west bay area and we live in matar qadeem, its an Al-Emadi buliding 2 bed room furnished apartment and the rent is 7,600 Qatari Rayal inclusive of water and electricity bills, and all maintainence and repairs are free of cost. and i guess there are some vacant apartments in our building as well. And if u rent through al-emadi u don't have to pay anything to the real estate agent. u can find other buildings available for rent at www.alemadi.com.qa

Can I expect something similar in Doha?
