Do you have to have documents attested for visa and work permits in Qatar?

As an example for UAE I had to have my degree, marriage certificate and son's birth certificate legally attested then stamped at the FCO and UAE embassy. The whole process cost £500!

Any ideas?

I've just received confirmation from HR that I do not need to attest any documents. I pleased about that because it it a pricey as well as problematic process.

I never had to Attest anything, HR only asked me to send PP Copies, that is it.... Not even my Degree...

Oh, yes, usually you need attestation. But your employer's HR will go over all this with you. It would be nice if the UAE attestations could be used in Doha but I don't know about that.
