Opening a British school in Qatar

Hi,

I have been thinking about opening a British curriculum school in Qatar.

Does any one have any experience in this or been involved in this type of a thing before.

What sort of things are required, any ideas or useful contacts would be much appreciated.

I know there is DESS and Doha college, but I am looking for something that offers an Islamic environment with a proper British curriculum. Unfortunately the alternatives offered in Qatar are neither Islamic nor British

Akhi I don't have any answers to your queries ,sorry.

But I must say what a Brilliant idea ,MashaAllah!Islamic-British School .Inshallah I hope you do succeed in your good endeavours.

It is a real need these days not only in the west but even here in the middle-east .

The most important thing is to look for a Qatari partner, who can support and finance this project.

It's highly recommended to find a Qatari who is a member of the royal family here (Al Thani Family), so you don't need to face any problem to get the required licenses and stuff like that.

About your idea to make an Islamic school with British curriculum, I think it's good idea and you will find a lot of people who are interesting to join their kids in a school such this one.

Good Luck and have a good day.

Stuff like who would I need to contact in Qatar, the likes of Ministry of Education, Supreme Education Council, Ministry of Commerce.

What would be the best way to finance this project

Best way of getting accommodation, that is good and at a reasonable price, and fit for purpose. Does school accommodation get any concession for rent
