Bring with you common sense , an open mind, and patience. Don't worry about food as whatever a person needs you will be able to find it here. Perhaps not Polish salami (which I have enjoyed in the past) but the Qatar ecomony can supply you with all the necessary food and more to enable your survival.

One thing that you should know about is that Ramadan will start here (probably) on 13th September 2007 and during the day all restaurants are closed. Also, in view that many of your co-workers may be fasting it is respectful (advisable) not to drink or eat food in front of them. Also do not eat, drink or smoke on the street during those days.

When you arrive in Doha you will learn the lifestyle yourself - life quality is not made by what the world has to offer - your life quality is made by you in the way you choose to live you life.
