Education city compound

We are suppose to move to the Education city community housing Lot 1 with our 6 year old daughter.

Anyone lives there or knows how life is in the compound?

Also how is the location? To me it looks far away from everything.

We are not in Doha yet, so I don't really know much about town.

School for our daughter should be close to Al Maamoura.

Any advice would be appreciated

In hellacious traffic! (I drove round-trip to Ed City twice a day.)

The compound is good with excellent facilities, the school is too far away. expect 30 to 45 minutes drive one way!

Of course, just getting to that highway can take you 20 minutes :(

generally in ur way to mamoura there is no much traffic, coz u can use the high way which is connecting south doha with north doha (where u will be), but in mamoura area itself there might be little traffic on the peak hours, but the trip won't be more than 30 min with traffic Jam.

thanks a lot for bit of infos. Now the 20 minutes to Mamoura area would be traffic included? Or no traffic?

I don't live there but I know the place very well, It is nice compound and it has most of the facilities including a small shopping mall "Lulu express", it is little bit far from the city center, and about 20 minutes from mamoura, but it is a quiet area near the education city, science & technology park, and soon near Sidra hospital
