Of course you'll get mixed messages, everyone's experience is different and it certainly will depend on your attitude and your seniority. That's what it's all about. Your first question should be about reserve and how often and how long it is. Secondly, depends on how often is "often", but I'd say don't count on anything the first months or even a year. Your destinations and schedule will not be your own for a good while. No make-up allowance, no food allowance except on layovers. Food is easy to shop for in Doha but as a strict vegetarian you may have some difficulty with food on the plane and/or layover hotels. Take what everyone says with a grain of salt but if it rings true, start listening. If you are a very anxious person who really likes to be in control and gets homesick easily - this job is not for you. If you are laid-back and go with the flow and wherever the wind takes you and really do get along with people, come on over to Doha. You are young, and it's a good experience. Unlike those who work for many of the major European or American carriers, I wouldn't expect you to make a life-long career out of this, not enough pay, too much hassle. But if you are young you can put up with it for the life-style and benefits.

well honey, i live in qatar and in dis condition d best advice is dat u should take guys advice in it. not girls. coz i think guys know more than girls wud do. i dont say dat girls in qatar dosent know anything, dey know but d guys percentage is more. rest its upto u, no ones pulling u neither pushing u. u want answers, giv us ur questions.. wil reply u and im sure u ll belive it only u trust us.. u dont ?! den god help u.

for a 5star Airline it may have ups and downs,if you are going to work for a private Airline it depends on the working hours.

Once you are here you have all liberty to say Goodbye if you are not happy,so come and experience it will be good

just what experience you have had or are having with the company... I dont expect people to put their jobs on the line and dish me the real deal (a private message would be great) I am just getting mixed messages and am unsure.

Do you get to come home (back to Australia) oftern?

What is the bidding system?

What is the make up allowance - how much do you get?

How much is the food allowance?

Is shopping easy (for vegetarian food)?

Is it a good company to work for - do they look after their staff or not?

Is there any fine print that I should know about?

All those things that you would want to know when relocating to a new country..

Please do the private message thing if you feel that is safer - Im happy either way.

x

Tell us wht you wana know. Not all would tell on a public forum what company/industry they work.

This is the first time that I have ever used a forum and I dont mean to sound rude or offend anyone. The reason that I have been asking for people that work with the airline is because thats what I will be doing. And the female part - its because I am a female and coming from Australia to Doha is a massive difference for everyone but more so for females as I am sure you are aware. I do thank you for your help and advice and opinions :)

That would be great if you could ask them - I have to reply within a few days before the offer expires.

Just about the way of life for the cabin crew

The money

The travel

Do they enjoy it

All the things that will make a difference - that would be a massive help.

Thank you
