Hi to everyone!

I have just rented a new flat. I have applied for a new connection at Kahramaa for water and electricity on 24th May 2011. At that time the outstanding amount was "Zero". Now on 1st June have received a message from Kahramma the bill for the month of May is QR 305. THe connection was transfered on my name but I shifted just 2 days back.

What is the reason of this high charge and how much will be the average bill of 03 bed room flat.

You can check the meter reading by yourself for both water and electricity, compare it with the paper that kahramaa gave to you when you applied. check if there are discrepancies regarding the meter that was charged on your bill for the month of May 2011. Based on your story, you just moved in last quarter of the month and it's not quite possible for you to have QR305 unless you keep 2 or 3 ACs on 24/7.

I agree with King29, i also pay 350 to 400 esp during summer, for a 3 bedroom flat.

We hope you resolve the problem soon.

You have to reconcile/complain the bill to the nearest kharamaa office. there must be some mistake on it.

So far since the sticky hot started (summer) my average bill for the month is 370 Q.R 2 bedroom flat.
