Returning to Qatar

I know someone who wishes to return to Qatar in a new role, but he left a debt with the bank last time by using his card at the airport. If he tries to get into Qatar will immigration catch him?

If the bank has filed a complaint with the police his name will be flagged by immigration - not sure about the passport change affecting if they "get" him or not. There was a poor guy in Abu Dhabi who got arrested twice at immigration because his name was the same as a man who had not paid his Etisalat phone bill (that was a couple of years ago).

How do they know? Do the banks tell immigration?

Dont take a chance now days they are very strict on the airport they come to know immediately if that person has got a bad record.

Thanks for the clarification Flying Ace. Can a business visa holder buy a car without having an RP?

So, as long as he can get business visa's from the employer and not have residency then he can stay? I dont suppose many companies would want continious business visa's. Tricky one.

Finger Printing is not done in Business visa, if you transfer from business visa to Resident Permit, then only he needs to get the Finger Printing done...

Did he also change his fingerprints? If he hopes to get an RP or business visa he'll need to be fingerprinted. On the upside for CID - he'll be at a police facility when that happens and save them the trouble of tracking him down.

Will they be caught eventhough they have a new passport? He as dual nationality and would use his other passport to travel. How will they know it is him?
