Job offer

Hi looking for some advice please.

I have just been offered a job working in Doha.

It sounds like a great offer, but I am not sure, so I am after some idea from people who live in Doha and already know the cost of living.

I have a wife and four children who will be moving out there with me. Three of the children are at school age.

I have been offered 60k QAR per month. In addition the company will provide full medical cover for me and the family. Everything else we must cover.

Is 60k QAR per month going to provide me and the family a good lifestyle in Qatar?

Any thoughts /advise would be appreciated.

It worries me somewhat that it is not a standard package offering housing, schooling, etc. And if it doesn't include air tickets it's actually illegal.

Take it. I recently hired a British Project manager with a gross package slightly lower than that.

60K should be more than enough to budget and live comfortably here bud. Your biggest expenses would be your house rent on a 4-5 bed compound you'd be looking at 13-15K a month, then school fee's avg for a decent school would be 10K per term per kid. So 30K per term for 3 kids, put away 10K a month for school fees. The rest are just living costs which you'll more than cover with a 60K salary, good luck and welcome to Qatar. If you have any more questions drop me a PM.
