I am a single man and a chef for the last 20 years working between canada and USA. I got a job offer to work in Qatar as a chef de cuisine, my salary will be between 2000/2500 us dollor with the benfites of a room, food, medical coverage, tranportation (company's car) and paid one air line ticket once a year I just want to know if this is a good deal or not.
Plus how much it will cost to live there.
Thanks

Hey thank for all the replays. Now I live in Canada and moving to another country it would not be easy but looking at what they offering and the benefits its kind of confusing.

well if housing and transport, and food are covered i think that is a good deal i would think alot of people on this forum have alot higher salaries engineers etc. but i have a similar deal and only make 2500$ usd tax free.

and i am just fine, some nationalities can live off of like $400 a month.

the biggest thing would be where you are coming from and what you are expecting. I love it here but i don't go out much, if you are into the nightlife, well honestly i can't say anything about that but i am sure some people here can help you.

but if you are looking for an experience i would definatly consider it.
