How much does it cost per month to live in Qatar?

I couldnt find the information in this forum so I decided to ask this question:

How much does it cost per month to live in Qatar?

 - Would you please break down the cost of living expenses someone could expect?

- I dont know any other variables to consider so if there are other variables/factors that you can include that would be very helpful.

- If you could base it on your cost of living that would give me a more realistic measure of what the cost of living is like.

- If you could also suggest options to lower the cost of living, that would be great too.

Thanks in advanced for your input.

...if you are the kind of person who is uncomfortable to crowded abode, you have to shell bigger amount to live confortably by yourself. Food costs more nowadays due to high inflation rate, but the amount you can spend on it depends on your eating habit...if you don't cook, QR20 per meal is enough but not generous. If you fancy named restos, QR50 is the least you can spend. Transportation depends on where you lived and where your office is located, most companies either have transporation services offered or they gave transportation allowance, Taxi flag-down rate is QR3 + QR1/km i think?...not sure now since i haven't taken taxi for months now...

One can live comfortably with a QR5000 budget, but some needs much more to say they lived in comfort...so it really depends... me?...nahh...i live much less than the posts above me...

In my experience, a european couple can live comfortably in a nice 2bed flat and eating out a couple of times a week for 16,000.

To lower the cost of living, don't live in a compound...there are lots of nice flats around...don't eat out at western restaurants etc...they suck your money away....go easy on the amount of alcohol you drink (expensive at hotels!)....don't pay for satellite tv. etc etc.

You can find a 2bed flat for say 7000 QR.  Car hire 1700QR (though better to buy if here for a while).  General living expenses 3500QR a month.  Still leaves you 3800QR for whatever else!

Qatar is very good country.

But! be carefull, There are no good accomadation availble in qatar to resonable price. you will have to expend more than 7500 Qr for 1 bed room apartment in qatar for live in comfortable.

thats if you want to live comfortabel with small family. Thats in my opinion. For Single I think 15.000QR is good enough, just try to get accomodation provided by the company or ask for allowance.

This is only from my personal studies. Not base in general. Please note.

Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
