How long does Qatar Airways takes for personal interview invitation?
Dear All,
I am new on this forum and want to know about Qatar Airways recruitment procedure. I had a successful telephone interview in 2nd week of Nov,12 and within a week received another email for a personal interview invitation at their headquarter DOHA. they asked me to send them a passport copy , recent passport size photo and a completed filled application form to obtain my visa ,ticket and accomodation while i am in Doha for interview. i emailed them all the documents and awaited till 29th Nov,12 as the proposed date of interview was 2nd, Dec 12. Then i rang them to find out about the process and they said that they ain't received my visa and that they will let me know as soon they get my visa from their authorities. I didnt heard anything till 2nd Dec and then all sudden they call me on 3rd Dec and asked me if i can come same day for the interview. they called me at around 09am and unfortunately i was away from home and it was not possible for me to get to the airport with the 5 hour short notice. i asked them to give me an alternate date so i could get there and they confirmed me 5th Dec, After confirming this date i received another email and they change my interview date from 5th,Dec to 10th Dec and also said they will send my all logistics before this date. I waited till 10th Dec and then emailed them that i ain't got any email from them but they didnt replied also i called them almost 10 times but no one answered the phone call. Now i am confused as its 19 Dec today and i am in the middle of no where. currently i am in London and working in a travel company and the position i have applied for has the similer job descriptions but the designation is higher and its QR outstation role. Please if any one can suggest me what should i do? should i wait for them to reply or do i need to chase them up on daily basis? or did i made a mistake on not traveling the date they phoned me?
hope to get your important feed back!
cheers
My wife has applied for a post in Hamad International Airport on 10th Nov 2017 and it changed to under review within about 10 days. Its almost nearing the end of 2017 and its still under review. Is this positive? Does this status take long time?
Keep doing what you are doing and email them on a regular basis. If the job is worth it to you, then do anything!
Don't worry about whether you have made a mistake or not in not attending the first interview - there is nothing you can do about it now, so don't waste your energy worrying about it.
QA do take a long time to get back to people, for example, some of their pilots who were recruited at the beginning of the year have been waiting until now for a start date!
Persevere and you will get there if it is meant to be.
just keep following up. good luck!
