Housing & Living in Qatar
I would like to know the follwoing:
1. What is the average house rent (3 bedroom prefered, but 2 would also do)? For Flat and villa (both)?
2. What is the availability of rented house in Doha / Al-khor?
3. How much is the rent for a 4x4 (say Hoda CRV) car par month?
4. I am an Indian but have Omani driving licence, Can it be converted directly to Qatari licence? if not how long it normally take to get a Qateri licence?
1, It depends very much what you want, unfurnished, furnished or semi furnished. Furnished 3 bed could cost up to 12000 dependant upon the compound, you can get 2 bed apartment for 9500 (good facilities).
2, Housing at present is plentiful - there has been a lot released onto the market in the last 12 months.
3 CRV are a little on the expensive side - rental for what you get they can be around 3k per month, but be prepared to look around and wait
4, You can drive on an Omani licence for 2 weeks and it is easy to convert.
