A Big Move......

Assalam Alikum Wa Rahmat Allah,

I was hoping to get some advise about moving to Qatar. I am an Arab Canadian and I've been living in the west most of my life. I've always wanted to move back to the middle east because I truly believe that it is a better place for a Muslim to live. I've been blessed with a son recently and feel the responsibility of fatherhood and more importantly my responsibilities as a Muslim towards my son.

Can I get in touch with someone please? I have a few questions that I would like to ask.

I am a certified SAP Basis Consultant:

With all this talk about the economy, is finding a job in Qatar really difficult?

Is it important to have connections in Qatar to be able to find a good job?

Brother Sharif, Thank you very much for the tips.

Brother Hisham....There are positive things and negative things about everywhere....Raising your children here as pious Muslims is very hard....I want the best for me and my family in this life and the next life....I believe that most Muslim countries will offer a better atmosphere for my family even if it is not perfect.

Wsalam,

Dear brother,

Insyaallah you will have a good job in Qatar. Since you are SAP consultant I would suggest for you to get a job from oil and gas companies since most of these companies pays higher than other companies and better perks too. Most of these companies have their own web site and you can apply from that web site. Try to google and looks for following companies that in my point of view give a very competitive salary and perks in Qatar.

1) Qatar Gas

2) Ras Gas

3) Qatar Petroleum ( Under qatar petroleum have other companies that link to this web site such as QAFAC, QAPCO..etc)

4) Qatar Foundation.

5) If you see classified section there is one UK base company looking for engineers..etc. I would imagine that this company also have a good salary structure as well.

Insyaallah you will get a good job in Qatar.

Try this site to find a job in qatar in the classified section if u have oppurtunity u have come here but let me tell u that rent prices for houses is here is bit high approx 5000 to 6500 Qr Riyal for family food expenses vary 2000 to 3000 Qr Riyal Plus Mobile, Internet connection 1000 riyal approx, depending upon u this if u get job ask for a good offer, recession has little impact on qatar but still i have seen many people leaving qatar after recession, so take into consideration all these factors.
