that salary is pretty good :)... lot's of asian people here earns less than 20k QR but they are driving good cars, they can send their children in good schools and they can eat what they wanted to eat....

there's no small or big salary...it'll all depend on how you live.

Not really worth it my friend. Be a free bird and enjoy and have fun at wherever you are now. It sounds like a lot of money but money not neccesarily buys you the things and happiness you may be looking for and then you will be at the mercy of the mandooq for each and everything

Dear Sir,

The offer is very good. Don't lose a golden opportunity. If you are careful, you would be able to save at least QR 12,000/- per month, which at today's rate of exchange is about Rs 145,000/- per month. That too it is tax free. Encourage your wife also to study further and when the time is right, take up a suitable job, so if anything happens to you in future, she would not be stranded, but can carry on. You can also look at this as an opportunity to migrate to other countries, like Canada etc.

Good luck.

Hi VS

This offer sounds good.

Please clarify few things. Is your company going to give you school tution fees as an extra allowance or you have to pay it from your above consolidated pay chaeque?

For 2nd std CBSE the cheapest but well-reputed Indian school is MES and it charges around QR 300 per month.

2.You can accomodate yourself in 1BHK which may cost you around QR 2500 - 3500 per month as per current rate.

3.Indian driving license is not valid. You have to take a driving test here and get yourself a Qatari driving license.

4. You can not do a part-time job because normally it is in the service agreemetn that you can't do a part-time job.

5.When in Qatar you just cann't switch a job unless and untill you get the NOC from your current employer. If your employer refuses you a NOC then you have to go back to your country and there is a two year entry ban. That means you can't take any job in Qatar for next two years.

6. What about medical insurance? Because medical expenses are very high in Qatar. Bur you can take a Medical card of govt hospital for QR 100 per year per head and then all treatment is free.

iam able to save not much as rent prices vary from 5000 to 6000 for 1BHK and 2BHK, food expenses has also risen montly 2000 for my family since u have 2 kids it will be difficult for u to save any money as all of us plan for saving while coming abroad education fees is 1000 to 1500 for one child , then u need a car which cost u 35000 for second hand, so overall u can live here but you cannot save as iam there me too iamleaving doha after 6 yrs.

think before u come as u are PMP u should work as project manager with good package 21500 is less for you. demand for more salary or think before u come as doha is very expensiove and exchange rates has also being lower for indian currency which is the reason amany are leaving qatar as u get the same offer in india.

indian driving is not valid but u can apply for 12 day training and give test to get a licence here

u cannot do parttime job as u will be under sponsership, u cannot swicth jobs with NOC from the sponser which is difficult to get here in qatar.
