Work Profile.

Possessing more than 34 years of experience in the marine industry  consists of ship building , Ship Repair, Vessel Dry Docking  and service in Indian Navy.

 

Have been  working with Ship building/Repair and Port operations division of Zamil Offshore Services Co. ltd. for the major part of my carrier since 1999 till 2015  and participated in all levels of  construction of   total 26 various vessels consists of  AHTSS, harbor tugs, diving vessels and pilot boats  besides  being  as Dock Master and occasionally as Repair / Maintenance Manager. Carrier being continued with Nico International at Abudhabi and Milaha Maritime & Logistics at Qatar for the last 02 years  and  presently with the later one since Jan 2016.

 

Conversant with Ship Building &  Ship repair  practices , construction drawings and familiar with all marine related works such as ultrasonic thickness gauging, anchor chain calibration, preparation of reports, hydro jet cleaning, sand blasting / painting, tank cleaning including safety precautions prior to entering and while working in confined spaces, steel repairs, out fitting, Complete accommodation works of a new built ship including carpentry, paneling, flooring, ,fire protection insulation works and mooring /unmooring of vessels etc.,

 

As project in charge ,completed Ship Lift Renovation  in the year 2010 ahead of the schedule by coordinating various departments and taken an active part as a member of  the New shipyard project  covering an area of 232,000 sq.m at various stages of its  construction  including the construction and  load testing  of  a new ship lift of 7000 tons capacity.

 

Worked as Manager Repairs in Shahi Shipping Ltd. Mumbai ,for their fleet of around 30 vessels in the year 1998-1999 to look after the hull repairs of the vessels using  in source as well as  outsourcing. The work also involved in carrying out classification requirement and maintaining the class of the vessels.

 

Having  credit of Naval service of 15 years since 1983 to 1998 and the  service  has provided ample exposure in  different  fields  such as  repair activities in Naval Dock Yards, work up of Naval vessels ranging from frigates to Air Craft Carriers, as an  instructor in Nuclear  Biological Chemical defense Damage control and fire fighting training school( NBCD)  and also  in Naval Floating Dock as member of   refit project team besides  the  services in various Naval Ships.

 

 

 Have Acquired confidence and  comfort  in organizing and controlling  both Ship building  &  Repairs  and  dry docking activities and capable of carrying out entire activities of dry docking operation in ship lifts and floating docks  from  docking plan preparation , dock block preparation, operation of floating docks and ship lifts , to  hauling in /positioning  of vessels by coordinating the team. The expertise gained through years of experience  can be contributed  for the benefit of  any firm in the marine field  in respect of  time , profit  & better control over  the project schedules .
