Description
- Creating a bill of quantity and estimating the project is to develop a detailed scope of works for the electrical systems. this should include all of the electrical components and systems required for the project, such as lighting, power distribution, communications, security, and fire protection.
- Planning and designing electrical systems that will be required for the construction project may involve reviewing the construction drawings and specifications and conducting site surveys for identifying the electrical loads and requirements for the project.
- Getting approval from the consultant for the design of electrical systems for the project ensures that the systems are safe, reliable, and meet the needs of the project.
- Preparing material approvals by submitting samples of the materials which is required for the project as per client specifications.
- Procure the required materials for the project by contacting suppliers to obtain the necessary components and negotiating contracts for the procurement of equipment.
- Review and Rising material inspection requests for the ordered materials to get approval from the consultant
- Supervising/monitoring the electrical work through the supervisor and foreman at the site ensuring that all is installed correctly, and safely in accordance with the design specifications.
- Make sure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and that all wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Installation & termination for all activities i.e. transformer, L..V panels, feeder pillars, MDB's, SMDB's, distribution DB's grounding conduiting, armoured cabling, lightning and earth protection systems & lighting fixtures, power outlets, fire alarm devices, and public address system devices.
- Load scheduling/balancing over distribution networks to balance the load from the source of feeding to avoid power interruptions.
- Attending site progress meetings and coordinating with the sub-contractors for remaining electrical works.
- Coordinate with other trades to ensure that everyone is on a schedule and that are no delays for the repetitive work.
- Conducting testing through the testing tools of installed electrical works and rising work inspection to get the approval for completed works.
- Making testing and commissioning for the completed work and preparing As-Built drawings for the operation & maintenance manual of the Electrical services.
