Description

Nature and Scope of Position:

Perform general finish and cabinet work in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of floors, roofs, walls, stairways, doors, windows and other structures

Operate power saws, planers, jointers, hand tools, and other required machinery and equipment

Sand surfaces and clean, sharpen, and repair hand and bench tools

Perform window, door, and minor roof repairs

Dismantle and /or construct interior building partitions (wooden). Fabricate, assemble, and re-fixing all furniture items such as tables, office desks, chairs, cabinets, stage..etc

Prepare and install the necessary formwork for concreting.

Perform finish carpentry work, i.e., mouldings, trim work, cabinets, etc. Install drop ceilings when necessary

Adhere to University safety procedures when performing assigned responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of information at all times Perform other job duties as necessary.

Trade Test Certificate in Carpentry 

8 years of work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
