Description
- Split all the devices into categories (Operational, defective, cancellation, beyond local repair, beyond repair, to be returned to supplier etc.)
- Ensure serial number is on all devices
- Label each device, accessory by Department, Client, Device type, Model etc (Internal Recognition Tag)
- Spreadsheet or application to be created with all data
- Ensure that all technicians have their daily agreed stock with them (devices & Accessories)
- Create a database with which technician has been given what and when
- Ensure Technicians sign on all items received
- Record all new inventory arriving from Customs
- Record all inventory In-House and at other locations
- Receive SIM Cards and label accordingly
- Prepare devices with SIM Cards once email received from AVL and handover back to AVL Team who will do the re-scripting and give to technician. This handover from person to person should be recorded by the Stock Controller
- Receive and record all defective devices from clients/technicians
- Double check the defective devices and confirm the defective part that the technician communicated (this might have to be done in conjunction with the Quality Control)
- Record where and who fixed the defective device
- Record devices to be sent back to the suppliers for repair
- Prepare shipment to be sent outside Qatar
- Deliver to Admin to prepare for shipment (Admin will arrange for clearing customs and brining devices back on site)
- Stock Controller to receive shipment back from Admin
- Stock Controller to handover to AVL/EFT to advise of receipt of fixed devices and ensure that they double check that all is working
- Once all checked – update database with this information and put back on the shelf with serial number, Internal label etc. then send back to customer if applicable
- Application to be created to notify the stock controller when devices/accessories reach a certain threshold to place a new order
- Report shortage of any item quantity becoming equal or below xxxxx (per type)
- Stock Controller to email AVL/EFT departments that a new order should be placed and AVL/EFT coordinates this with the client.
- Report weekly/monthly statistics of item stock and usage per transaction
- Test received device and working status – classify and report
