Want to open an NRE account in India, Mumbai
By Francis Fernandes •
Dear reader, This question can only be answered by Indian.
I am an NRE account holder of Canara Bank Mumbai for the last 14 years. However I am not satisfied with the kind of services provided. I therefore have decided to close my account.
Please advise me as to which Bank I should open my account in Mumbai, India. Secondly I would prefer having the Bank closer to my residence which is Muumbai 400 009.
Kindly give your suggestions. Thanks.
Always keep your hard earned money safe with the banks which have backing of governments. We never know when these private banks would collapse.
Many of my friends have NRE accounts in SBI and feel much secure banking with them. The services of SBI are not "excellent" but "okay" and you can find thousands of their branches across the world.
You can contact Trust Exchange (National Area near Sofitel) or (Grand Hamad Street) to open NRE account.
I prefer AXIS BANK..
Very efficient service and hasn't faced any problem while remitting fund online to our INDIAN account..
you can go for ICICI. Its more flexible and can draw cash to any amount with only 24 hr notice only.
Very nice internet support. another bank i suggests is IDBI (Industrial Development Bank of India) giving wide range of loans also for propoerty purchase and all..i have a loan from IDBI from Mumbai.
Almana Exchange can open account for you in Bank of India.
Depends, which bank's account you have in Qatar. For example if you have Doha Bank account then they have an agreement with SBI, Commercial Bank has with ICICI. It will benefit you some way or other in money transfer, opening Demat account (Share Trading) etc.
Axis Bank, RBS and SIB have been providing good service to me. As I dont know which area that pin code is of, if interested you can run a check on the websites of these banks for their branches.
