Professional Profile
I am an English Language enthusiast, and I have a Bachelor of Law, Civil Law (LLB), a Bachelor of Science, Political Science (BSC). I also do have a Diploma in Religion (OND).
I have had the opportunity of teaching English to various students ranging from age 12 and above. I have also had the opportunity of having been involved in freelance teaching of English language to students.
My drive to carve a niche as an Educationist sterns from the fact that I believe that I have a good repartee of English Language, and I have in my previous positions as an English Teacher as itemized in my Resume, I have demonstrated my competence of the field in a number of ways, ranging from teaching young High School students at all levels, both in public and private schools settings. I am proficient in teaching spoken and written English, letter writing, report writing, essay writing, creative writing to include poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and short stories, sentence structure, paragraphing, concord, and use of tenses, oral English and vocabulary development. I am an English Enthusiast, and I am responsible, motivated, passionate, dedicated, creative, patient with students and with outstanding skills that make one a strong educator. I have detailed my experience in my curriculum vitae attached herein. I can also teach arts and literature to young ones. Apart from the fact that I am also a creative writer having authored some books which I can also present to your good selves for examination, I have this unalloyed and voracious passion of impacting the knowledge of the Language to young ones.
My love of the language began in my early days at High School. I recall when I came top of the class in a SPELLING BEES competition in Grade 5, and the teacher held me in high esteem then. This feat awakened my passion for the Language. Growing up, I read a lot of books which today I can boldly say span over 700 (Seven Hundred), and which includes novels, fiction and non-fiction, biographies, inspirational books, biographies, and autobiographies, memoirs, short stories, drama, poems, to mention just a few. I am always very critical of a well written piece of literature. Apart from helping me in building my vocabulary and tenses and concord usage, it inspired my zeal to be an English Teacher. Having relocated to Qatar where English is also seen as Second Language (ESL), I wish to contribute my wealth of experience of the Language in building and developing the young kids at your institution.
With over 10 (ten) years experience both in teaching and my legal career, I believe I have an added advantage to teach this subject. Legal advocacy and English Language are intertwined. There cannot be a good lawyer without one with good manners of both spoken and written English. My style of teaching is passion-driven to the extent that I would always develop a way of impacting knowledge in a very elementary way. I believe that every child’s speed of acquisition of any knowledge is unique and much to be harnessed. Some students learn fast, some are slow – just like some write fast and some slow. My desire is always to be patient with students having in mind this striking contrast. To this end, I believe that I am capable of taking up this role. I have just recently been published by Amazon.kdp.com and nestuge.com. I am willing to share with your good selves the link to my 400 page turner available on nestuge.com https://nestuge.com/-9bg3gnkor?affiliate=OocgVI. The title of the book is "The Law and Your Rights - A Survival Guide for Non-Lawyers."
My creative writing ability is something I want to bring to the table in your institution if given this opportunity, as I would also be in addition to the curriculum, teaching our young ones how how develop themselves in creative writing and be successful in the literary world in the likes of Toni Morrison, William Shakespeare, Geroge Orwell, to mention just a few.
