starting a new company-some questions here
hi guys.
i will keep this short and sweet.
Im working in one w.l.l company (construction) which our sponsor have.he got 2,3 companies (mainly construction and maintenance).
I want to know, if I talk to the sponsor and get the relevant documents signed by him,do I have to pay money to the sponsor? (i know about the 51% & 49% shares, rather than that, is there any payment to be paid to him?)
do I have to deposit that 50,000QR to the bank to get the company registration? (he already have companies, can't I use that registrations to get this thing done?without depositing 50,000?) im hoping to start a construction related company also. if someone aware of this, enlighten me pls.
as I have the "plumber" RP/ as per my QID,this has to be changed in order this thing to work.so what should I do to change the profession in my QID?what are the procedures? is there any restrictions for sri lankans to start a company in qatar?
to issue visa's to bring people outside from qatar, what should I complete?is there any charge for that from qatar government?
is there anything I missed to mention?pls indicate accordingly.
thanks all

Good answer Timbo...
@formatted soul : this forum I have started to get an initial understanding about the topic (starting a new company) to get some information about, which who has already doing it. i think you are in doubt about it.
@timbo : thanks friend for the info.as you said, I have read many articles in QL regarding this and got to know some things.I have a small question though.
if we cannot register the company to get w.l.l one-time (200,000 means lot of money :) ), do we still can work as a registered company right?
@ green-tech : will do :) thanks
Too many questions with no structure. Most of this information is available online
- Payment - you can have a side agreement with your Qatari. You don't actually have to pay him any % of profit although he will still own 51% of the business. You need to create some Articles of Association
- you need to deposit QAR200,000 in the account to register a W.L.L.
- You will need to transfer your sponsorship into the new company as an owner. Not too hard to do.
- You will need office space to get a municipal licence.
- visas - depends on the business type and the office space as to how many and what type of visas can be issued.
You need to pay for some professional advice or you could get in trouble
Do you really think you are ready to start a business?
