@britexpat As previously mentioned, in case I can come back to Qatar with new visa from new employer after I exit with NOC, what would happen to my spouse residence visa under my sponsorship? Would it be automatically renewed for my spouse to still enter Qatar or should I re-apply my spouse again for new one?

First of all - will you be able to come back ?

Second - Your wife is under your sponsorship. She would have to leave unless you transfer her to her current employer

What if I resign, exit Qatar and get a new visa from new employer. What would happen to my spouse's residence visa under my sponsorship to my previous employer? Would it be renewed automatically via my new visa from new employer? Or would I get back from scratch to re-apply my spouse residence visa again?

Yes, if you work you will be get paid until the date you actually worked.

You have to give one month work notice to your employer from the date you submit your resignation.

If you work during your notice period you will be paid until the day you worked, if your employer ask you not to work during your notice period you will not be paid.

Only in cases of termination few employers ask employees not to work but still they get paid their notice period salary as per their contract terms.

Are you still going to be paid during those notice periods after you resign?

When you resign within a month and you have 3 months notice period, are you still going to get the salaries for those 3 months?

You cannot go into secondment contract without proper approval from your current employer to allow you to legally work with another company under their sponsorship. This is equivalent to getting an transfer NOC from your current employer.

If you can get this then you can also get the proper NOC to come back to Qatar after cancelling and exiting Qatar and no need to go into further ban details.

As I mentioned you earlier their is no ban once you exit the country but for the safe side you can ask your current employer to provide you with open NOC to be 100% sure they do not put any manual ban for you for not joining competitor companies and this ban can be for 2-5 years period.

What about the secondment? Could I be transferred to new employer using secondment after resignation? How would you know if you're already banned? Is this banning company specific? Or is the banning standard procedure under Qatar Labor Law? My contract is 2 years, meaning I couldn't enter Qatar for new employment in 2 years time?

Since you do not complete one year in Qatar, even if they give NOC you cannot do direct transfer. You need to exit and come back in new visa with your new employer. As of now their is no Ban once you cancel and go back to your home country to get new visa and come back but situation might change and also your employer can put manual ban for you to not come back with competitor companies and if required since you did not completed his contract.

If they may not give me an NOC, would there be any other options to get another new employment in Qatar? Do I need to go back to my home country first and start fresh again in applying for new job in Qatar? Would this be possible? Or are they going to ban me to enter Qatar for a number of years?

Resignation to be submitted with one month work notice, at the end of notice period your residence visa will be cancelled and send back to your home country.

Employer might refuse to provide you with NOC to get employment in Qatar with another company since you did not completed his contract period.
