Opening accounting firm in Qatar
By stella 1982 •
I work for a consulting company in Dubai and we would like to open a branch in Doha with a license in auditing.
do you know what are the recognized/affiliated accounting institutions in Doha? Meaning if an accountant/auditor wants to work there, which are the international institutions recognized?
Also the accountant whose name is one the license, does he have to live in Qatar permanently and show the authorities proof of rent and utilities. Or can he come to Qatar only every 6 months?
Thank you!
But i heard that there is no partnership between qatari and non qatari for any profession business in qatar. That an auditor can practice with a sole proprietorship
Kindly clarify

Hi!
If you are interested as a foreign investor to incorporate an audit firm with holding license you need to have minimum of three years of experience as a practicing auditor with bachelors degree in accounting or from any recognized institute and u must have a fellowship from any of institutes or associations or bodies of accountants or hold a membership for a period of not less than five years.
Apart from that the legal incorporation will be 51 percent Qatari national and 49 percent will be a non-Qatari.And if you are going to open a branch firm in Qatar the situation will be a little different .
