NOC Law slavery at its best
So a multinational gas plant maintenance contractor is cutting back workers do to budget cuts by client (gas plant) but refuses NOC.
So lets get this straight you don't need me anymore ,but you won't allow me to work for anyone else.
So as I see it my fellow workers and I that are being cut from the force are forced to pay a serious penalty for choosing to work for you.
These plants should require that all reduction cut workers be entitled to NOC and a equal opportunity for gainful employment. Not to leave out that western expatriates all get NOC even if the quit.
There should be strict guidelines for which an employer has the right to withhold ones NOC, reasonable cause etc.
This may fall on deaf ears but one can only hope that employment justice one day will supersede the elitist class system that an unregulated employment system fosters.
Naming and shaming is illegal in the GCC.
Why not name and shame the company - they shouldn't get away with ill treating people...
Get even, bring this to international forum, send emails to FIFA, send to newspaper editorials like New York Times, Chicago Tribune, the Sun, etc. use voodoo or inform ISIS!!! There was one company in Saudi I know wherein the GM (western) are too biased and mean to locals, etc. What happened? One day Al Qaeda barged into the office and some people were hurt or killed.
