Need advice to work in Qatar

I am interested in opening a restaurant in Qatar and need some advice.

I am a Swedish citizen and as far as I know you must have a work permit in Qatar.

Do you need a sponsor to apply for a work permit or can I, as a European citizen, apply myself without a sponsor?

How to get in touch with sponsors in Qatar?

I would be grateful if any acquaintance in this group could answer my questions.

I guess you are somewhat confused or unaware of Qatari laws.

One needs a work permit or a work visa if you seek employment. To setup a new business you need a sponsor who must be Qatari national. The sponsor will have a share in the profits of your business whether he makes any investment or not.

As for opening a new restaurant, it depends what type of restaurant you wish to set up. You may need to carry out a survey on this all by yourself.
