I would like to share an experience i had here in Qatar, especially to my fellow Filipinos.

Anyone who have unlawfully/unjustly treated by their companies/employers, the doors of the LABOUR MINISTRY are open for you. Have no fear for i have been there. and i am so much appreciative about the local people of Qatar working in this government office for they satisfied me so much and resolved my problems with my company.

If any of you who have problems and are unsure or have doubts whether your problems need justice, try to seek for advice first in Labour Department - al muntazah, 2nd floor. you will meet a gentleman (Mr. Beder) with a smily face and who can give you advice with your problems. then if you find out that you need justice base from his advice, think about going to labour department - industrial street #13, alatiya area. this is the place where your problems will be solved. i can prove to you that Labour Ministry is PRO-EMPLOYEE.. My sincere salute to the people who helped me!!!

thanks azilana :)

@tahsinmim i go with filipinos, make friends with filipinos, listen to different situations they have and the majority of these "news" i hear is from my fellow filipinos. that made me write down "especially to my fellow filipinos". but of course if i am a filipino having friends with the majority of like for instance indians, i would have said on my post: "I would like to share an experience i had here in Qatar, especially to my fellow expat - INDIANS" or if my friends are mediteranians then i would have said: "I would like to share an experience i had here in Qatar, especially to my fellow expats - mediteranians" or sri lankans if they are sri lankans, chinese if they are chinese because i have knowledge about their situation. i would have mentioned about your nationality if i only have knowledge about your situation here in qatar..

i am sorry, i did not mean to be discriminatory regarding my post. but what i intended to do is to spread a good news and share that qatar listens to employees' voices. and i hope this gives courage to other expats who are opressed.

"especially to my fellow Filipinos"?

I'm sure you're well aware that many Filipino workers are suffering due to mistreatment, salary unpaid, and companies closing without forewarning. I came across at least 50 Filipinos with these kind of work issues and their cases are being heard at the local courts. But till the case is resolved, they have no money to sustain themselves here.

Have some compassion for those who are not so fortunate. I'm sure there's a number of your fellow compatriots who are in the same boat like those Filipinos.

Haven't you heard or came across of that saying: If you can't say anything nice...don't say anything at all."

Good to hear that you received your dues and justice was served. Hope your experience will serve as a lesson to others to never hesitate in seeking legitimate retribution against oppressive employers. Take care and all the best for your future.

I'm sorry but i did not mean anything about what i said "especially" to my fellow filipinos. this info is for everyone, to all expats.

seek for advice first in labour - al muntazah to really make sure you are really in the right position to claim. then, go for labour - industrial if you really want to claim for your rights. i really admire our fellow nepali expats whom i saw in labour - industrial, most of them don't know how to speak arabic or english, they can speak but in broken language. and they go by their own, all alone. i have seen their courage & patience to claim for their rights.. i advice you guys with problems to seek for assistance. we all know that there are evil employers here. lets not make them prevail. :)

This is good to hear. A society is not judged on how it treats its citizens but how it treats its guests.

maybe you should understand the post first before acting and commenting like a genius..

it doesnt say only for Filipinos, it is for everyone he just stressed that "especially" for Filipinos. Read and understand first before posting racist comments.

What was your issue ? If the salary was not paid then ofcourse it was a genuine issue. But for something else i doubt.
