Hello, I have been offered a position at the Al Khor International School, and I was hoping someone could tell me any personal experience they have had with this school.
Negative or positive?? I have heard comments, all positive.
The school is fine - nice friendly staff, well resourced. There have been changes to the accommodation on offer however. On arrival, new staff are given poor quality temporary accommodation and then moved on to permanent accommodation at a later stage. Recently, this has been to a horrible block of flats in Al Khor. Although the flats are new, they are small, there is no fire escape and the area they are situated in is very noisy. At weekends the flats are subject to hundreds of male migrant workers (with nothing else to do)milling around outside which is very intimidating for women occupants. Families are housed here too, despite there being nowhere for children to play. Be warned!
my friends kids are in AKIS and so far as the parents' assessment of the school, its all positive. above average level of quality of education, with regards to being employer maybe its also high quality as they are under RASGAS i believe =)
