Hello Guys.

Hope you all are doing well. I want to know something regarding employment in qatar. I joined my company on 9th of October 2016 and like most of the cases it went horribly wrong . The company is not good at all and i feel that i am just wasting my time working with them. As per my contract, my probation is 6 months and its mentioned that both parties can terminate the contract by serving one month written notice period. I have my QID also with me. My probation is finishing in the mid of April. Kindly advise should i resign before or after April. I understand if i resign before April its gonna b breach of contract and they might ask me to pay money for this and that expense. And if i resign after probation finished, how would its gonna be. Kindly throw some light on it and provide some advices.

Thanks

@qatardelhi

Thanks mate for your comment. Yes thats what my main point was. Anyways after probation i am free to resign as per my employment contract. I would like to add one more thing that if i will go on emergency and do not come back, what are the consequences for that? Is that option ok or not?

Careful, spend 6 month else they can charge you for Visa, RP fee also ticket they bought for you. Plus they will put admin charges. There will be no justification for the acount. You will not be able to leave till the time you dont pay all the charges they will claim. So, relax spend few more month and come back. Anyway congratulation for you decision to leave this country

@brit.

Its mentioned in the contract that " should the probation is completed successfully, both the parties are entitled to terminate the contract without giving any reason. In that case the party who terminates the contract should serve a written notice period in accordance with article 49 of qatar labour law"

You should be able to resign during the probation period without having to repay any monies...

Go and discuss your case with the Human Rights Commission
