VIDEO: Some hidden gems in Doha
There are some who simply eat to live, and then there are those who live to eat. Here at Qatar Living, we take food very seriously, and so we made it our goal to find some of the lesser known albeit great restaurants to enjoy a delicious meal.
Here are three such hidden gems we went to:
1) Al Jamal Restaurant: This is a small family establishment that serves authentic Pakistani food. They do not have a predetermined menu, rather they serve different kind of food each day. Jamal’s (as we at the Qatar Living office call it) has regulars who flock to the restaurant daily for a satisfying lunch. You better get there early before the food runs out!
2) Yum Yum at K108 Hotel: This restaurant has a menu inspired by the French and some consider the burgers served here to be the best in town. This is also one of the highest rated restaurants on TripAdvisor. Did you know that the hotel where this chic restaurant is located in–K108 Hotel, donates ALL OF IT’S PROFITS to charity!
3) Khosh Kabbab: Located in an alley near the now closed New World Centre, this kabbab restaurant is known for its piping-hot kabbabs. Served with tandoori bread, the food is brought straight from the fire to your table. If you are not careful, you WILL burn your hand! But at the end of the day, it will all be worth it!
After 11 years in Doha, I finally found Jamals #delicious
