Qatar back to routine after Eid holidays

Big rush was seen at some of the government offices yesterday as work resumed after the Eid al-Fitr holidays in Qatar.

Qatar government employees came back to work Sunday monrning following a 11-day Eid al-Fitr holiday that started on July 15.

Service-seekers turned up at the departments in large numbers and several visitors were not issued tokens even after 9am at a section of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Arrayah said.

With some employees still on leave, the waiting period for obtaining different services continues to be long, it is learnt.

Residents attributed the slow pace of work to the implementation of a new electronic system, pointing out that some employees were still not familiar with it.

The Medical Commission, too, received a large number of visitors.

At the offices of the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning and different municipalities, the workload was, however, relatively light as many people preferred to process their requests electronically.

The overall traffic situation was normal, with some delays witnessed during the morning peak hours. Educational institutions remain closed for the summer vacation and are scheduled to reopen in September. [Gulf Times]

What do you think? Is Qatar back to routine yet?

first thing. i would like to say if you have issues as such in a country such as driving and other stuff why are you here in the first place.??? i guess you shud have left this place the same time when you saw this happenning here. another thing many Expatriates living in the gulf are happy earning and making good money giving good education to their kids and good home experience to their families still crib and cry over small small things. if people have problem why dont they go back to their own country live over there and try to make a good living out there which wont be possible and wont be done. then why live live here.. you want to live here make money enjoy life make the best save the best out of a gulf country and then talk negative stuff about a country?? we should be thankful to GOD we are here in the gulf. its not just you KNOR there are many like you >> have a lot of complaints. i say to all those ppl who live in the GULF if you cannot be thankful to the GULF then better go back to your own country.
