FREE West Bay bus service add new routes
Blue Line bus route of the West Bay bus service will extended to more areas, announced Mowasalat CEO, Khalid al-Hail.
More people will be expected to use this bus service in the coming days, especially when large-scale construction activities are expected to be launched there as part of the Doha Metro project.
The rerouting of the Blue Line buses facilitates travel to one of the busiest and most crowded zones, which houses offices of the Ministry of Justice, Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), among others.
Since the introduction of the circular services in January, there has been a rise in the number of passengers. Mowasalat hopes there will be more patronage for the buses, which are offered free of charge, as more construction activities are launched in the area.
The buses, which were introduced on January 15, are run as Blue Line and Red Line services from the Khalifa Tennis Complex and Q-Post headquarters. Each of them connects a large number of offices and ministerial buildings located in the area.

We certainly need this, because as we all know, Qatar is bursting at the seams with tourists wanting to be connected to all the touristy spots around the place, such as City Center, the Post Office, Kahramaa, Ashghal, Ministry of Justice, Doha Bank, and khalifa Stadium. I mean, what tourist in their right mind would want a bus connection to and from the airport, for example? Let's just keep West Bay and the airport jammed up with dodgy taxis.
I'm sorry but really? They have literally extended the route by one street. How about an airport bus? I'm not sure how many tourists will be queuing to visit the Qatar Statistics Authority or the Post Office.
please introduce more Buses for City Centre from Al-ghanim Bus Stop, buses should be available at 15 minute intervals from Al-ghanim Bus Stop. other wise extend any Red or Blue Bus till Al-ghanim Bus Stop
