Qatar's telecom duo to offer boosted Internet speeds
Qatar's telecom companies Ooredoo and Vodafone have announced they will be rolling out new technologies to provide residents with boosted Internet speeds.
Vodafone announced on Sunday that it is the first telecom operator in Qatar and one of the first in the world to have the top speed of up to 375 mbps live on its network.
This was completed after it tested and rolled out 3 band lte carrier aggregation across its sites in Doha corniche and the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) with other additional sites across Doha to be progressively ready by November 2015.
The ultra-speed of up to 375 mbps is achieved by aggregating 50mhz of spectrum across 3 bands.
Ooredoo is expanding to aggregate spectrum across three bands to deliver another evolution in speed and performance for Qatar's mobile Internet to provide a theoretical maximum speed of 375 megabits per second available to customers as and when high-speed devices come onto the market.
Are you excited to try 375mbps in Qatar? What would you do with this high-speed?

They only talk about upgrading the speed. But never do needful to sufficient hardware to cope up with the network traffic. Any body can do speed test and see what are the existing download and upload speed at any given time. You will be surprised that most of the time upload is not even 2 mbps with 4G.
i agree with dil656, day like yesterday network really sucks.. im using 4G+ ooredoo and the speed was...........
...... 1MB downlink .. wowwwwwwwww
i wish it come down to reality. i connect to 4G both ooredoo and vodafone from near vegetable market but still D/L speed not higher than 10Mbps
I think first they have to improve customer service. To get through 111, it takes hours now.
Oh that's really good but what about cost?It has to be really expensive, isn't it?
