Wht Volunteer Work Can I Do???

Hey i'm new to qatar and tought i'd introduce my self.....i guessed the best way to meet peole here was to do some volenteer work and social work.....is there a big brother program here.....or anywhere i can go to help people.....please point me in the right direction.....thanks for the advice.......and ur e-mail's and websites would be appreciated...
