seeking a social life in Doha

By Mr Enigmatic

Hello all,
I have very recently moved to Doha to take up a career opportunity.

I have transport and live in a comfortable complex. I was just wondering how to go about socialising out here. I am a outgoing and educated Male in my 30's.

I am not looking to date or spend masses amount of money in bars or sports that do not interest me.

I am just after a circle of friends to socialise with out of work hours.

Any help or advise would be much appreciated.

actually it is hard to socialize here, even harder to go out without a car, i've been here only for two weeks, and no outings actually. But wish I'll get used to it soon!!

A misconception about shisha smoking is that it is less damaging to the body than cigarettes, because the tobacco is inhaled through water. shisha smoke also contains tar, carbon monoxide, heavy metals and other toxic chemicals. These chemicals can be carcinogenic (cancer-causing) in the body. Shisha smoking may increase the risk of cancers, particularly of the lips, mouth, tongue, throat and lungs.

having a cup of coffee with your friends is an awsome way to socialize.. or another good idea as what yves1980 said is grilling at the backyard.. or maybe going out for crab hunting on the shoreline..hihi!:)

good place to start would be to go out with a few of your colleagues that you think is on the same page as you. its difficult to meet other people if you dont go out! and its Ramadan so night life is non existent.
