Restaurant advice

Hey folks!

I arrived here 4 weeks ago from Germany and thanks to good colleagues and this forum, I had a somparably stress free start.

Now, my girlfriend is coming for a visit and I need to know some good places for dining out. Especially I am searching for a seafood place and a sushi bar (depends on the prices, 'cause sushi is extremely expensive in Germany). If anyone of you has another nice place no matter which cooking style, but a fancy environment or a nice view, please let me know!

 Thx for your help!

Chili's is amazing :)

Try Triple play and Texas fries for starters, chicken crispers for main course, and molten chocolate for desert. YUM

its dirty walk round the area and you fill find used needles lying outside there - i have lost the plot with them plenty of times over this. Please dont go there i worry about people treading on the used needles when they leave the gym in the dark.

Carnegie Mellon has set up it's own Wiki for Qatar including restaurant suggestions. The URL is: http://www.qatar.cmu.edu/alhannah

The Restaurant guide is at:

http://www.qatar.cmu.edu/alhannah/index.php/Restaurants

The advice seems pretty good. Just discovered the site today. Well done CMU. The only thing missing (IMHO) is GPS coordinates so that a location can be found using maps.google.com. I'm tired of people telling me that something is near TV roundabout.

try Korean Garden at Ramada Junction next to The Rider (the horse racing shop), right across Chilli's. GOOD FOOD (theyve got korean, japanese, etc)!

my favorite sushi bar is NEO, one block to the right of Jarir Bookshop, next to the Layali, the lebanese restaurant. it's perfect for dates and those romantic dinners :) make reservations. price ranges from 70-100+ riyals. Phone: 4322508 - 4322539, ALL DAY RESERVATIONS - 5641904.

Cheers,

Austin
