Prices of 320 items reduced for Ramadan

DOHA: The Ministry of Business and Trade has imposed a prize freeze on 320 food and non-food items ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
These items will be available in the local market at discounted prices from July 1 until the end of Ramadan, the Ministry said yesterday.
The Ministry has added 45 new items to the list this year. Last year, the Ramadan price freeze applied to 275 food and non-food items.
The items include rice, wheat floor, edible oil, dairy and meat products, fresh and frozen chicken, fruit juice, pastries and frozen vegetable and non-food items including tissue paper and aluminium foil.
