Pirates of the Caribbean..

China has censored Pirates of the Caribbean for "vilifying and defacing the Chinese", according to the official Xinhua news agency.

The role of Hong Kong star Chow Yun-Fat, who plays pirate lord Captain Sao Feng, had been slashed in half to just about 10 minutes of screen time, the report said.

It cited local magazine The Popular Cinema as saying: "The captain played by Chow is bald, his face heavily scarred. He also has a long beard and long nails, whose image is still in line with Hollywood's old tradition of demonizing the Chinese."

i was only talking about myself, of course kids will love spiderman 3, actually for them TMNT was a good one too.

Spiderman 3 was bad. Just don't tell that to the kids! I still think Pirates 3 is too long. A tighter story would've made for a more interesting movie.

i agree with "SurfALot" special effect amazing whereas storyline not as good as 1 & 2, maybe we didn't liked as we knew the story already like who is who, but still even if someone watching it for the first time then believe me it's worth the money and time.

i really enojoyed the setups and stage designes which takes you inside the movie as if you are actually there.

in short it wasn't that bad as spider man 3 turned out to be. kids stuff , i always laugh when i think what would happen if spiderman comes to doha.. he can only fight in west bay area.. hehehehe... :)

but I was disappointed.. special effects were awesome, storyline not as interesting as 1 & 2

i watched the film and i lıked a lot.espically the special effects are awesome and also actor and actress played brilliant.But this was the first time went to cinema in Doha and i think also last one for me.I watched the film city center and people around me,talked on the phone and talked with each other.They didnt know how to act in the cinema.They didnt respect anyone.I think in this country,there are few real movie audience.

Just got back from watching it.

The special effects are, as usual, awesome.

I just found it too long. Our little one got bored after it crossed the 2 1/2 hour mark. I was getting fidgety after 1 1/2. My wife and our eldest stayed till the end. Number 2 and I couldn't stay.

Could've been tighter.

the movie will be releasin here on the 31st most prob i dont knw abt the premier here in qatar.

We were at the movies on Saturday and my kids said they saw something that said May 27th. It premieres in the US on the 24th so if it is the 27th in Doha that's an amazing feat.
