Philipino Vs Indian

Thirtyplus
By Thirtyplus

I have been looking around for accomodation and found that most filipino families or rather persons prefer not to share with other nationalities.......I could be wrong here and I dont mean to generalize but am just sharing my experience......and to me its even more surprising coz my wife is a flipina.

When I was looking myself I found that the Filipinos were more than happy to take my money.

Thing is the accommodation was 3rd world standard and they were keen for Western accommodation prices.

Blatant profiteering galoreee.

When you have choice and you pay from your pocket you have your right to choose your roommate with same culture and mainly a person with food habits. But when you are in a company accomodation you have no choice, I know 6 different nationality in a room.(dormetery) and they are suffering a lot. Dont judge I am good or only mycountry/culture/relegion is good.

My wife and I, and no we are not lesbians or the like (so sorry to disappoint) have been floored by you all in splits of laughter.....I am an Indian and she is a filpina and we are very happy together......we had registered with her details and thought it needless to have it changed.....but for her protection, did just that a while ago.....so we thought we could share our experiences on this site....we were kinda ready to receive some comments which would be thoughtless and immaturely aggressive but expected more from the community on QL in terms of reading between the lines and bagging the real intention.......nevertheless, we are unperturbed.....and we thank you all for joining in and making our day a happy one.....if we have offended anyone by posting what we have, then please know that it was not our intention to do so but just wanted to have some of our frustration released......you have all helped in that and fyi we have found some accomodation with a filipino family and should be moving in soon. Thank God and we stand corected.....Funny eh, all it takes to move a mountain is a controversial title....wish we could all get together and move some real mountains.

maybe they want to avoid possible conflict sharing one accomodation with other nationality, we all know that each nationality have their own culture and way of living.

anyway, are you still looking for an accomodation?

just send me private message.

By Thirtyplus• 23 Jan 2010 11:03

Sorry if it sounded offensive.....but thanks anyway.....and no, Im fine living with anyone.....but to be honest all the places we have been to have given us the same response or a cold shoulder.......and you agree to an extent because you are asking me to have my wife look for the place....
