Gay Cross-dressers in Qatar?? POSSIBLE??
Hi there.. Im living in Qatar for 2 years now and I know how strict their culture with regards to homosexuality.
Im not against gays and lesbians.. And we all know that they are really existing in the world.. I just noticed that some of them whos living here Qatar are wearing some girls stuff like blouse, skinny girl jeans, ladies bag, high heels and wearing a heavy make-up too.
I just wanna know the rules and regulation of this country regarding this matter..Are they allowed to walk in the street like that? What are their condition or ground of the authorities here? Could somebody enlighten us here?
well if you haven't seen i have. how would they be arrested whilst almost half of the population in this so called country are gay including the so called indigines come on , wake up and stop deceiving yourselves these people know what they are doing. may God have mercy on you all. well i don't blame them, what do you expect in a country where men and women are segregated right from from childhood, meen anything is possible.
Saw one at Tea time Near Jarir in the evening it was a cheap scene men honking at him/her or maybe both.....LOL
Don't you have his number or something?
@imnhoie
No it means dont push the envelope too far and they'll let it slide...most of us speed every now and then and dont necessarily get tickets for it altho it is illegal to drive above the speed limit. But, if ur driving at 180km for a whole week of course u'll get caught.
Similarly, if u wear tight female low cut jeans to go clubbing it might get unnoticed and if caught u'll be given the benefit of the doubt...but if a dude shows up on Thursday night in the middle of souq waqif in a freaking wedding dress with full on hair and make-up, of course u'll get arrested hehehe.
mnhoie : whatever you do, stay clear out of Doha-Jadeed!
so meaning?? the authorities are not arresting all of them?? i mean.. theyre just choosing who they want.. confusing..
Marco but she was a beauty... until that lace pant _es came off :-(
Blister: that explains the rainbows that were sparking in your eyes :P
In short...It IS illegal, but it's not always enforced...don't be TOO flamboyant about it, and u wont get in trouble...kindda like dont ask dont tell.
Qatar being a Muslim country has very little tolerance towards homosexuality and the people/things associated with it.
Just because such people exist in this society and are sometimes visible, doesn't mean the govrt condones their acts, in fact those people are walking on very thin ice going out in public while looking like that.
Side note: homosexuality is punishable crime as per Qatari law.
bb ,,, O_O
It's Never too late
Did't you notice something strange before you start!!!
Come on don't let me go deeper it is Ramadan :/
It was too late... too late to stop... oh sulieman... please dont remind me of that deed...

One of my close friend is kinda gay or I can say he is not totally not attracted to women.
After seeing a pretty one I was tempted to ask her out on date... only later realized it was not a she... :-(
Demeter ,, ROFL
How are you Demeter and Joe :)
Back to the topic, I've seen one in City center, he is working in Samsung in (Al ansar Galary), he is so girly, tight clothes and weird moves.
Am not against anybody, but i hate when i see a man acting like a woman ,, Ewwww
GGD Yeah i'm one of them, not one among them :)
Joe, I accepted you for being one of them.
Kidding :)
They must get respect in public, unfortunately the peoples rejects them not all, but majority of us don’t like them, personally I don’t do that wrong.
oh okay.. well theres nothing wrong for being gay but there is something wrong if hes living in Arab country and still doing this things.. he should know how to respect the culture here.. its very loud..
Inihoie, maybe he is a clown.
I've only seen one Qatari guy like this in public but apparently a lot of this goes on behind closed doors according to my Qatari friends.
i agree.. i can say that these cross dressers homos are so brave and strong.. hahaha.. they are really not afraid to get arrested by the strong policemen of this country..
many gays now are more beautiful than a real woman in physical aspects....thanks to surgeries ;) so u wont notice who is fake & who is real :P so it is possible but it is not allowed here :D
the first time was in souq last year.. he was wearing a tight leather jeans, false eye lashes and a red lipstick.. and the last one was yesterday.. in villaggio.. and a lot of guys was staring at him..
I've seen few of em,,, but, i never heard that they got arrest or they had any problems, maybe as per law of Qatar it could be punishable activity!
Where ? I've not seen it... It's not allowed.
