Britain operates secret monitoring station in Middle East

Britain runs a secret monitoring station in the Middle East to intercept large numbers of telephone calls, emails and internet traffic that it shares with intelligence agencies in the United States, the Independent newspaper reported on Friday.
Britain is "hacking" into undersea cables and similar to intercept email / comms traffic and gather information.
This is passive and not an "attack" on infrastructure or computers.
So is it how the Petroleum-companies' computers were compromised?
Cause the rumor spread was Iran had compromised them by virus attack?
hmmm not a good thing...
What else is new? They are allies of America, don't you remember?
This is no longer a secret and how I wish the party whose constitution and laws were abused must tell them to stop!!!

This is shocking how an Arab government allows this, if it is true.
