Opportunities, Salary and Benefits to increase in Qatar
SALARY INCREASE ......GOOD NEWS OR JUST TAKE IT AND PAY OUT MORE!
http://dohanews.co/reports-new-jobs-higher-wages-expected-cost-living-rises/I have been reading through an article in Dohanews about an initiative for betterment of Salary and Allowances in Qatar by major private sector companies are in their plan for the new financial year. Further updates about major increase in Job Openings is positive news for the highly potential natural resources rich country now leaping for infrastructure to host world class events and tourism.
But the key challenge still remains within the economy which is to control inflation and remove unethical pricing for support services, Rent and availability of quality housing.Job seekers receiving job invitations are first researching on the living cost and finds about the frontline suggestions of Doha being the most expensive city in the ME region. Advices come from different segements finally focusing on evaluating the salary and allowances which needs to include Housing, Medical and School fees or else you take up the offer if you dont have any option left for the time being.
So Is Qatar becoming a career destination for those who do not have other options left in their life and imagine the quality of work force who come here only to take up their last option. A major part of quality human resourse will be looking at other available options primarily and keep Qatar as their final option.
A strategic economic and political policy with stability in expenditure and overheads are to be in place before the salary improvement' OR ELSE the only happy population around will be the benefactors in the role of Housing Middlemen, Unorganized support service beneficiaries or similar players who will increase further 7 - 10 % on knowing about the good news of salary improvement adding up the burden more than 15% to the employee. Finally every salary increase by an employer is doing nothing more than welcoming further inflation if economic policies are not strategically enacted.
Impressions should reach the responsible brains to plan the country towards a stable nation with such potential not to be wasted nor to give room for critics to release negative reviews. Lets not see ill fate by just exploitation, but initiate opportunities to plan a great furture to the previleged nation.
This year will see the creation of more jobs and some significant wage increases fueled by Qatar’s construction boom, two new reports by recruitment firms have concluded.
The reports, by GulfTalent and Bayt.com, both state that the majority of companies in Qatar plan to open up new positions this year.
The two companies’ assessments come amid a rapid increase in the country’s cost of living, with Qatar’s Consumer Price Index going up 2.7 percentage points between February 2013 and February 2014, driven by rising rents.
Bayt.com reports that 63 percent of companies plan to create up to 10 new job openings in the next three months, but adds that the majority of these new roles will be targeted at recent graduates.
GulfTalent’s survey, meanwhile, reports that 75 percent of companies in Qatar will create jobs this year.
Pay rise
According to its results, private sector salaries in Qatar are expected to rise on average by 6.7 percent year-on-year – the third highest increase in the GCC, behind Saudi Arabia at 6.8 percent, and Oman at 8 percent.
Earlier this year, a Dubai-based firm forecast an even more optimistic outlook, saying wages here are expected to rise 8 percent as Qatar ramps up its preparations for the 2022 World Cup.
This is in part because the country is facing even more pressure to offer attractive benefit packages to skilled workers, who may be wooed by opportunities elsewhere – including Dubai, which is launching into a fresh building boom to prepare for the 2020 World Expo, Cost of Living Reports Middle East said.
Speaking to Doha News at the time, researcher Engy Ziedan said that wage increases would likely be the largest for skilled workers, but are also expected to grow for mid-level earners. This would mean more expats could meet the minimum salary requirements to sponsor their dependents, she added.
this all are fake news........ how i can believe it....
lol,there just deceiving there self
@ jonaethenqr , This photo is very much misleading , You have to change this photo & put some Qatari walking around wearing thop . These increments are for Qataries , not for expatriates . If I will ask some increment , then I have to do extra job and extended my work hours from10 to 14 -15 hours daily . And if I want to change job then I have to wait untill 2 years to complete the working ban .
To put things in perspective.... The government will only have reason to take any of these seriously if its citizens had voiced them. However, the 200,000 odd Qatari nationals are very well taken care of by their country and have no reason to complain. They are oblivious to rising rents, or the increased cost of living for that matter.
To all of you, will there be changes if we try to contribute ideas which may influence those can empower strategies. It's easy to sit back and criticise but simple initiatives can be thoughtful ideas to those in lead roles.
From my point of view.. the labor supply companies, trading and contracting companies will benefit and not the employees (major companies may give good per hour rates to the contracting companies, but who knows that the laborers are benefiting from it)... the salary will remain same for them till this world ends..... poor laborers, i will sad for them...
of course!! its just news for day dreamers :-) Every year i heard this since last 4 years but don't get any kind of increase till now :-(
Thoroughly enjoyed reading the article :) about the people who do "IRRELEVANT" and "ILLOGICAL" surveys to earn their living...
How i wish!

I can't see any future for Doha, except draining more oil reserves and depleting the Gas.
