Grade negotiable - QP ??? Sr Engineer

Dear friends,

what is exact grade for sr engineer. i have been told 14. But i heard some guys working for 15 & 16 also.

does it depends on nationality ?

can we negotiate grade also ?

i am asking detailed question because i am receiving too detailed reply every time. thanks forum !!! your worth is multi million dollers !!!!!

with all good companies, QP grades have regard for a variety of elements found in the job. The jobs are evaluated and graded in relationship to other jobs within the organisation.

ABC150 was correct in that grades cannot be negotiated.

QP does not have a standardised system for grading and name of designation. I have seen some senior engineers in grade 18 and sone head of divisions on grade 15. It is not negotiable (as far as I know), not dependant on nationality and is determined at the time of position creation. I believe it is decided on the basis of authority and responsibility of teh position.
