Even it is your first job QR 4000 is not enough ......If your accommodation is too close to the office you can walk..but if you have to travel 20-25 kms private taxi drivers will ask 1000 -1500 per month for drop & pick....any how you have to spent around QR 1000 for your food and other day today needs. ask the transportation also from the company. How about your family you have to send something for them also. If they provide transport you can save 3000 Try to increase the salary at least up to QR 6000 (including accom. + Transport)

For gaining experience its not Bad but if u are staying with your family don't go for company's accommodation stay with your family and ask for accommodation allowance which will be 1500 to 1800 Qar so you can Save more.. Good Luck!

No need to be 'Kanjoos' .... be smart & spend your weekends at different friends & colleagues' places ...

Imazine 2 days per week , 104 days { 3.5 months } in a year eating from somebody else's house .... one can save enough to buy an air ticket & vacation shopping ...

Dear Friend : You have not mentioned your years of work experience . The package you have is not sufficent to make any saving that you may plan. It is natural that you being a qualified engineer, you will grow acadamicaly in the work entrusted to you and this groath may not be finanacialy supported in the long run and you will be stuck with the initial package. I suggest you talk to your employer with confidence and accept a package that will grow with your development but you must begin with at least 8000, and all others as per the prevaling labour law. Please note if you do not be clear and insist on your requirments you may never have it -God bless.

Willing to pay does not work here. Make sure everything is written down in the contract.

it is not QTR. here currency is "QAR"

show your smartness on small small things.

dis-agree with Molten. you can save 3000, if you are big kanjuse and live for just earning.

remind that, you are an Engineer & you deserve at-least standard of payment. If you are smart enough about your profile, don board by picking this offer.can grab better later. Once you board, now way to jump / changing contract.

Note:- if you have a average life style, it is hard to make a saving out of it.

very less..willing to pay...so just willing...why not 100%..u will save peanuts out of that...and being an engineer u need to ask for more..u paid a lot for ur engineering study and getting 4000qar...not at all...but if ur looking only for experience then go for it...and if both experience and saving then its do and die case

How about transportation. Is there any allowance or company transport. Make sure that it is company's responsibility and try to persude them that Qatar is costly and advise them to give you atleast QR 6000, If they agree its ok, if not than you've to manage with the salary.
