Why are all cars in the gulf white???
I was looking for a car in the classifieds here in QL, and I've noticed that most of the ones for sale are all white!
I've also noticed whilst in Dubai, that white is the most popular colour of car also.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why this is please? (I was just curious) 
(btw, yes I know, I should be in Doha today, but missed my flight this morning!)

Answer: If you can buy me a "Red car", I will surely go for it.
if you sit in the car with maroon interior or similar colours of exterior in hot days ,, you will know "why"

and moreover white doesnt luk all that bad when its dirty.. a black one in particular has to clean..
well i took a white one.. coz it was readily available (2 months) hehe.. the black one wud take an additional month or two to come.. didnt have the time..
Its mostly to do with dust. White doesn't look dirty.

tiger9p, why they keep the sticker on??? hmm... lets see, maybe is new car, maybe the bank asked them to keep the sticker on until all loan docs/requirements is fulfilled, maybe they want to show off that they have new car. hehehehe

Why do most people keep those bar code sticker on their car? (Yes, the one from the factory that can block good visibility while driving) Also why do they keep those plastic wrap on their seat? It just defeat the point of buying car with leater seat.

one reason white colour car cost less than specific colours like red or black.
The other reason is white reflects the sun back much better than other colours which absorb the heat .
So all cars in gulf are mostly white in colour .

Why plants green?
Yes my car is blue now but they didn't have a white option when I bought it.
Metallic blue isn't bad here as the dust isn't the same white colour as in Doha.
try the silver colour...

reason for the women wearing black, certainly among the bedouin, was to retain moisture.
TApparently, the more sweat (salt) that the abaya contained, the more moisture it retained.
I was told this by a Kuwait and have no reason to doubt it.

I had a green car once and it showed every spec of dust, quickly appearing to look dirty.
White doesn't have that "benefit".

It makes a very big difference. In peak summer you cant even touch your steering wheel. I had a white toyota and my friend had a black honda.......it takes even more time to cool the interiors if it is dark colored one. Trust me.

Have u been around in summer buddy? White cars dont get that hot. Buy a black car and try to sit inside it during summer and you will find the answer
